What remains of a brick house after a forest fire is still not livable, is it actually much cheaper to rebuild than a wooden home?

Methodology is super important here though. I've used static analysis tools that identify every single bit of fake unit test data with a field called 'username', 'email' etc as leaked credentials.

Imo if a publisher wants to retain rights to a game, they should have to make it available for sale. If you don't provide some legal way to acquire a game for some number of years (5? 10?) it should go into the public domain (the game

Yeah, the refrain is usually "anyone should be able to afford $8 a year", but I remember being teenager and even when I was making an income I still couldn't get a credit card. It's less about the money and more about th

Writing an OS sounds like a herculean task, but (depending on feature set) it can actually be a fairly simple thing to get started on.

I don't think the statistics are really communicating what you think they're communicating. I have hundreds of games in my steam library, a lot of which I've either not played at all or only played for like 30 mins or so. Thi

I was curious about the reason for the 96dpi number and found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dots_per_inch#Computer_monitor... There's interesting history behind these numbers.

72dpi was normal/standard... about two decades ago. About the closest thing we have to a "normal" desktop dpi nowadays is probably 24 inches @ 1920x1080, which is ~92dpi.

The low battery indicator doesn't work particularly well with recharchables. With a standard non rechargeable alkaline the voltage drops gradually as the battery discharges, so the battery light coming on at a certain voltage gives the

I don't think "anything we do not understand" is the commonly accepted definition of the word "supernatural". It certainly wasn't the one I was using.

Given that nobody has found concrete evidence of any phenomena being supernatural ever , defaulting to assuming natural causes seems reasonable to me. If you open your mind too much your brain might fall out.

It's more that everyone advertises so many 9's of uptime, but in reality they don't count anything less than a total outage of an entire datacenter as actual downtime against that statistic.
