Right, so the item is tied to a specific server, the functionality of the item is implemented by that specific server, and that server only trusts NFTs that it issued itself. What value is the NFT adding exactly? I'm not saying that im

I really want to see what would happen if the "taxes are theft" crowd actually lived in a society without taxes. I suspect they'd go maybe a couple months before they were like "hey we should pool money together to fix

Often it means "it seems fatty/oily, but actually it's collagen" too. Like with a slow cooked cut of meat with lots of connective tissue.

For anyone else curious the TLDR is that 240p is really 480i with tweaked timings so that the lines from the two interlaced frames strike the screen in the same place. This is also why a lot of old 240p consoles (NES/Master System thro

And then there's 11 which doesn't really feel like a new version at all to me. I use 10 at work and 11 at home and after changing the taskbar settings to put the start button back on the left I don't even notice switching.

Another case that pops up a lot is dealing with dates from third party systems that aren't timezone aware. Trying to convert them without knowing what timezone they were supposed to be in in the first place doesn't work, you hav

It seems completely unnecessary to specifically mention VPNs though. It shouldn't matter whether you funded terrorist organizations over the public internet vs through a VPN, either should be equally illegal.
