Renter's (and homeowner's) insurance doesn't cover damage due to flooding. You can buy flood insurance, but this only covers your personal property inside your home and doesn't help with loss of use or relocation.

It seems like there is a certain segment of people who want not so much to actually reduce the impact they have on the Earth, but to do performative suffering and comfort reduction as a way to demonstrate how much better they are than other

This is a good point. I've tried phrasing this a few ways, but ultimately it seems like Gen Z workers think they know the value of their work, and will balk when asked to do more than they're being paid for. I don't think ent

Late to this, but this usually looks like: 1. Vet people in sensitive positions with things like background checks. This isn't very effective, but gosh will you feel silly if you hire an actual criminal or spy from a country that isn&#

I wish more was spent on trying to verify the authenticity of the hardware, or contacting HP for comment. The simplest explanation is that a distributor in Brazil sourced counterfeit hardware. Authenticatic hardware shipping with some bespo

For external battery packs 3D printed adapters are starting to become more available. Unfortunately there's too much profit in proprietary packs and device replacement due to failed internal batteries. Safety concerns are just plausibl

Whenever I see stories like this this is think it's a lot more helpful to push the blame onto the electrical generation industry rather than blaming consumers of electricity for the carbon output of generation.

CO2 is acidic when dissolved in water so would cause the cream to curdle. Nitrogen doesn't readily dissolve so while you can push the liquid out, it wouldn't turn to foam when it hit normal pressure.

You can be honest and direct without being an asshole, and life is too short to suffer people who don't learn this. Reminds me of the saying: "People who are brutally honest generally enjoy the brutality more than the honesty.&quo

This seems like a poor rent-to-own deal. If no electrical work is required, you're paying $31/month for 10 years, or $3720 for someone to plug a <$1000 charger into an outlet for you. If you need a circuit installed, you'r

The thing is, while there's a lot of crap EVs at inflated prices that nobody wants to buy, good EVs are back ordered. Chevy dealers do everything they can to avoid selling Bolts but they're still months away from having stock.
