It should be noted that Parcel was created in house at Adobe and then open sourced. I think it's always nice to call out the contributions certain corps are making to the OSS world.

I live in SF and have said that too many parts of it seem like a third world country. The biggest shame is how much money there is in the Bay Area and how many (already solved problems) exist here.

Yeah I definitely agree with you there. You're referring to the "service position", which requires removing the front bumper. They do it to discourage DIY type of work, can't say I'm a fan.

That's one reason why I never go for base models or cheap luxury cars. The 2.0T is a notoriously bad engine, I would have gotten the A4 but wanted the reliability of the 3.0T V6 and so far, I've gotten it. Again, you have to read,

I think you're referring to the mechatronics unit that was prone to failure in the B8 series model. Luckily, I bought a B8.5 so that is no longer an issue, as it was fixed. I'm not planning to replace the transmission on this car,

Not in my personal (anecdotal) experience. I bought a $65k MSRP Audi S4 for $31.5+tax, 4 years after it hit the market. Haven't had anything go wrong in the 2 years I've owned it, just regular maintenance that I go to an independe

I don't find SF that beautiful, everything around it on the other hand is amazing (Golden Gate bridge, Golden Gate park, the Presidio and further away like the Marin Headlands/Sausalito etc..)

Does that distract from the main point of "You have to have an emergency fund"?. Compared to the EU, one would have to fund a larger emergency fund to avoid surprises.

On top of that, I too have noticed that parents often talk down to people that haven't experienced parenthood. Almost as if becoming a parent is very difficult and gives you enlightenment that can be found in no other way.
