But funnily enough the trustees of the Public Interest Registry (the .Org subsidiary) were all being paid before it was sold. https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/331...

What it comes down to is the board wanted a large pile of cash so they could do more of whatever it is they like doing, which apparently is not what many of us think their core mission should be. I look forward to reading how much the board

It can resist low powered 9mm bullets. It won't even come close to resisting a rifle round. So minimally more protection than any other vehicle.

Not to mention less range and less towing capacity. But to be fair, it is a farm truck not for running kids to school. It has quite a bit more payload capacity (3500 vs 5000 lbs)

Better targeted products, they already know what people in the area of each store demand, so each store could have a different mix of products.

I experienced them early in my career working for a shipping company. They were quite willing to attack the while collar staff trying to get to work while they were on strike, despite not being the same job, not being on strike and our offi

Of course, but no theologians are telling laypeople to learn Greek, ancient Hebrew, Aramaic and vulgar Latin before reading a translation in their first language! Or at least not since post counter reformation.

A translation is basically offloading all that to a team of scholars. Other religious books may have been standardized so you can't compare different versions, but that does not diminish the versions studied today.

Speaking of Luke, typing "Luke" into the search bar does not come up with Luke. Typing "Luk" works.

What you do is what all the billionaires do: take out loans backed by you assets rather than sell equity. In this scenario the banks start profiting from startups, probably more in interest than the govt will get taxes.

The grid has to finely balance supply and demand. You can't just dump power into the grid. If you did the grid frequency would increase out of spec and it could damage connected equipment and machinery. Water storage would only work if

Pumped storage requires very specific geography and how much energy can be stored is very dependant on height differences. It is also only 70-80% efficient. Compressed-air energy storage also requires specific geography. Molten salt is not

0.50c/terabyte is an order of magnitude or less than how much tape storage costs. So the author is paying far far less than the cheapest storage solution. So some folks may be selling surplus storage or free hard drive space for less t

I think the trouble lies in the quantity of aged whisky Japan is exporting. They did not have a lot of whisky production 25+ years and so it is simply not possible for them to be bottling this much whisky from 25 year old Japanese casks.
