Unfortunately, Tesla requests NHTSA to redact almost all useful information from their crash reports. So it's impossible to get more details. Here is the public database of all ADAS crashes: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi

Is there a recommended amount (or formula) of carb intake on keto? I use an app called MacroFactor and it suggests up to 45 grams of carbs per day, but I find it too low. I’m somewhat struggling to stay under that limit. Also the binary nat

> The currently deployed Waymos have 5 $7,500 (at cost) LiDAR sensors in them. Only the "dome" LiDAR at the top costs $7500. The smaller perimeter LiDARs are much cheaper.

My guess is they shelved plans for procuring all 20,000 I-Pace vehicles, but then saw 10x ride growth in a year and with tariffs looming over Zeekr vehicles, they bought out I-Pace production capacity to meet short-term demand.

Your numbers are way off. Waymo reported 5 years ago their Jaguars cost between $120k-$150k. That was after reducing their LiDAR cost by 90% from $75,000 to ~$7500. Their newly announced 6th gen sensors are even cheaper. LiDAR sensors are n

Jaguar has built thousands of new I-Pace vehicles for Waymo. It’s probably Waymo buying the full remaining capacity before I-Pace production is shut down. https://x.com/mike_is_typing/status/1827431086990962983

That report is pretty much worthless and fails any sort of statistical rigor. It makes many apples-to-oranges comparison and doesn't control for variables such as road type (highway/city), geography, time of day, age of cars and s

Uber doesn’t have a self driving business anymore. That was shut down after they killed a person in Arizona during testing. They divested much of it into Aurora, which I believe Uber still has a stake in. How this makes sense for Uber is th

Interesting they more the halved the number of cameras in this generation. The 5th gen had 29 cameras, 5 LiDARs and 6 radars. This one has 13 cameras, 4 LiDARs and 6 radars. I'm sure the boxy shape of the Zeekr vehicles influences this

One of Waymo’s co-CEOs went over the estimates in a recent podcast: Vehicle lifetime: 400,000 miles Upper bound vehicle cost: $100,000 (though I expect Zeekr to manufacture it for way less) Cost: $0.25 per mile There’s room for margin compa

That’s what their new vehicle platform is. It’s from Zeekr. But there are concerns around tariffs on Chinese built vehicles. I don’t know if Waymo gets an exception because technically they “assemble” their sensors in the US.
