Also, I could imagine a series of accidents where explaining to a Taxi where you were and where you needed to be might be physically difficult. You can call an uber (or lyft) for your destination, with a few finger taps. (*And the driver wi

I disagree. The backlog will be so long, that there will almost certainly be someone who will pay for your spot in line. The same thing happened with the S and the X. "Flipping" a 3 won't be difficult.

I was involved in the recording and production for a top 40 producer, and can confirm that there was autotune on every single vocal track that left the studio. Here are a few that I was in the room when the artist was recording, and can con

There is a hint of truth to the concerns you're articulating, but it shouldn't be enough to dissuade you (or anyone else) from doing this. The argument that people will always pay for the cheapest reasonable alternative would sugg

Just to throw an alternative view to the "FBA is a Scam" threads. I had a similar thought when I first heard about it, but then decided that I should give it a try as I am always dismissing things out of hands for believing that t

I'm curious as to the effects of extending past the 40-49 hours in week one, on subsequent weeks. That information I think would be more compelling to an employer (or self-employer), because without it, you're simply saying

Having read On Writing I can say that 8 and 9 aren't even real differences. King is against detailed description of characters -- (paraphrased) "If I describe character too much, it conflicts with your view of them." He'

In On Writing, by Stephen King, he goes into great detail about his writing process. The upshot is that he's what some writers call a "Discovery Writer", he sits down at a blank page with an image, or rough idea, and just wri

Ditto (since 2007). I used to be able to stream Spotify at maximum quality. I got a 2g utilization/throttle notice. Now it skips and staggers and I've had to downshift in order to have uninterrupted playback.

I agree with the other commenters, but sort of wonder if they missed the mark by going "half way" gritty/raw/stop-motion. The Gondry example is a perfect one, because he doesn't make each shot 99% close to the one b

As a videomaker, I was a little stunned by how 'imperfect' it was, for a few of the shots. It has to be a conscious artistic decision, because it would be trivial to 'nudge' the frame around in an NLE (we'll assume
