Right? Except it's not a $500 paperweight. It's a $4,500 paperweight with an additional $500 a year overhead. Depending on how effective Project Tango is, this technology might be short lived. Maybe there's some manual labor

I am a little taken aback by their pricing strategy, or maybe I'm misunderstanding it. If you purchase this, you have to pay (at least) $500 a year, for hosting, and $20 per scan, if you scan more than (say) 6 times in a month?

I don't mean this to be glib, but there were already plenty of phones that could serve the internet, and various mobile tools. (in much the same way there were already plenty of computers.) Apple doesn't innovate by being first, t

I hope someone writes a book about this one day -- the transition from being the underdog to the dominant player in the field. It seems like a very difficult transition, both for the contestant and the fan. While I understand where you'

This whole thread is great, it's what happens when programmers interpret English. "Well, was the "Move your repositories..." within the implied closing '}" for the initial if statement or not?" :)

I -guess- each $300 backer could've received $150,000 of stock/cash... ...if this kickstarter happened 6 months from now, as an equity kickstarter. The 6 month number is sort of arbitrary, but the SEC is currently evaluating Regul

This is a clever solution to this problem, and there are instances where this could be helpful. However, if you happen to be attached to FCP, and have basic rhythm, you can perform a more controlled version of this process in either FCP7 or

I have a question though. Why is this manual? I don't know much about CV, but even from the a link I saw the other day about SimpleCV, it seems like there should be a way to at least filter out all of the quadrants that are simply ocea
