The people running the show are well connected and stand to make billions as do would be investors. Give a few key players a share in the company and they forget their government jobs to regulate.

The non-profit side is just there to attract talent and encourage them to work harder b/c it's for humanity. Obviously people sniffed out the facts, realized it was all for profit and that lead to an exodus.

What a great article. The quality of life in America is not great is this is a big reason why. I grew up in the suburbs and pretty much every kid had a bike and did help but stuff was so spread out it was still relatively useless and I feel

I know nothing about the issue but I hear recreational use and I immediately picture people driving 4 wheelers and dirt bikes through pristine land and I'm like nope.

I think it's fair to say we need a new model, just saying but all of that is way bigger than me or you or Exercism.

man that is a super informative comment. I worked a shitty fast food job back in the day and I always felt like that was the hardest job I ever did. Literally just non stop work.

best engineering team sounds so general as to mean nothing. like were they really good backend rails and or java devs who had a lot of experience implementing backend credit card APIs?

these same bastards get government money to build new factories and buildings. If you're taking handouts you shouldn't be allowed to cut workers just to boost the stock price.

Money talks and if you don't like money they can just throw you out of a window or label you a terrorist so you never had any real power. Once they flex you've got nothing.

I don't see how this gets around a VPN? I still need a host in your example. That's what I'm paying a VPN for, a bunch of hosts around the world that are relatively fast.

There was a bootcamp by me. They had a squeaky clean image but were getting big payouts from placing candidates in a local fortune 500. People get used to that money.

I wouldn't put the blame entirely on the dealerships. The automakers are complicit in this whole thing too. Without the dealers there is no service model.

Businesses aren't charitable. They keep customers to donate money and then donate the money in the businesses name and get a tax write off. I agree it isn't the responsibility of business owners to take care of the homeless, it&#x

A lot of ignorance in this comment. Many early American cities now big major metros were built on top of native American trading routes/trading posts. This idea of a blank slate is grounded is totally false.

I feel like this kind of attitude is where we go wrong as engineers. We spend so much time and energy bickering over and creating the perfect solution when sometimes you just need to ship and provide a solution.
