Agree. Nearly all the work of programming I have done is related to the task of trying to figure out the business problem in enough extreme detail to provide a solution. The main lever to improve productivity for me as a developer are open

Answer is yes but you are much lower priority than others, bottom of the priority stack. CDC made a huge mistake not clarifying this, and this mistake will make it take significantly longer for us to hit herd immunity. There is very little

I was looking at linear. But we do use kanban (no sprints). Do you know if sprints are basically a required part of using Linear?

Actually technically this is prohibited by stripe. They explicitly ban testing your app in production. We have offered suggestions many times to them, but still no feature here.

I'll come here to profess my odd love for Little Caesars. The pizza is pretty good, but I love their ease and extreme cheapness. They only have a few options, they are $5, $6, $7. You can just walk in and order it, they have vending ma

I think if investors value the third party stamp of approval there are many ways to charge for it. Just because you don't have to pay an ibank doesn't mean you can't pay an ibank.

The best reaction to this would be to pressure the NIH to lift the ban on the Astrazeneca vaccine. There is enough stockpiled supply to vaccinate most of the UK quickly and they would have a first mover advantage to getting a bunch of that

This seemed sparse on JIT updates, I read the linked NEWS page and while it had some feature updates, I'm curious how this is going. I believe JIT went from "likely to speed up most applications significantly" to "may s

If they stopped banning Astrazeneca too, and stopped vaccinating people who already had COVID, we could be done within 60 days. Astrazeneca is well above the FDAs original safety and efficacy guidance and something I'd be glad to take

2 main comments: 1) your example of 1% death rate would be detected very early in a rollout, and would represent something akin to a 10000x worse vaccine outcome that has ever been experienced. The worst vaccine ever is generally regarded a

In my opinion, I think the takeoff point for virtual reality for office use is: 1) Reasonable price point (Quest 2 hits that) 2) Text must be easily clear and legible. Quest 2 does not really hit that, but high end units seem to. So it seem

Their pricing for these managed services used to be "no brainer" (something like the cost of compute only, or maybe a <30% upcharge). Managed airflow was similarly very expensive (maybe 3x the cost). Just not worth it. Bummer.

It may not help actually. Some jurisdictions don't allow you to represent yourself if you are a business. If someone files a claim in a jurisdiction you aren't licenced to operate, you would need to hire a lawyer anyway. (This ha

They discussed this in the approval meeting. There was only one case ever in any vaccine or trial of a side effect showing up after 6 weeks, it was over 50 years ago in a live virus polio vaccine on an immunocompromised person. Given the ma

The answer here is not so simple as "always buy". It depends heavily on context. I think there are some things that do make little sense for anyone to build unless it's super core. These tend to be low level, cheap developer

I hope they learned some lessons here and seek to accelerate lifting the ban on the Johnson & Johnson and Astrazeneca vaccines. Work they can do to get those approved in the next few weeks are what can end the pandemic in Q1. In the US,

I think the big takeaways from this pandemic are: (1) we need to limit "emergency powers" to some timeframe where the legislature cannot meet. Maybe 7 days or so. We are about 280 days into the crisis, so it's time for our no
