I have direct experience with this as an NRI. Indian govt charges outbound INR to USD conversion at 5% for amounts above 10k USD [1]. So apart from the rupee depreciation you’d have to account for that if you ever need your money out. I see

Agree, equity at workplace could easily be highjacked for nepotism and tribalism since the criteria for “opportunities needed” is often subjective. IMO it’s best addressed via governmental and social programmes. However, kudos to them if th

When talking about unions the focus is generally on hourly wage jobs where the skills are quite transferable and thus workers’ leverage is less. A factory worker installing bolts on a panel in some car isn’t gonna get opportunities to show

Yea and EU is wrong too. Malta, Cyprus and the UK dependencies are some of the worst offenders. I am also a big proponent of open borders and free movement but that needs to be done on a foundation of uniform global taxation laws. Humans ca

“Ugly” and “suck” are highly subjective and depend on people’s personal tastes. You could say that MacBooks are terrible for upgradeability but “keyboards suck” is pretty generic. Older MacBooks did have issues but Apple generally delivered
