This isn’t a normal useful orbit in terms of supporting astronauts on the moon or being available for recovery etc. and was definitely not used to support earlier moon landings. I think it only has a lunar revisit once every 7 days. Imagine

No kidding. I was adjacent to a tape out w some last minute tweaks - ugh. The problem is the current cycle time is very slow and costly and u spend as much time validating things as you do designing. It’s not programming.

AWS drops to $50/TB - still 2x to 10x maybe? A lot of CDNs cost a surprising amount or hide pricing.

The IPv4 charge is a good one! I thought this was to allow them to be more relaxed about the limit (5 per region) which is how they used to control fully free services that cost them. But an increase for sure - they did note the supply of f

When has AWS done something like this? LB11 going from 20TB to 1TB for the same price is wild if you’d built a business on this platform.

The original comment was about how concurrency expands / makes it easier for there to be errors in go (which avoids LOTs of other errors just with compile time / type safety stuff). "very easy to have bugs when working with c

Voyagers were built by JPL and not contracted out so align to a degree with the spacex model. In part this was because budget got cut badly. “In order to reduce costs and overheads, NASA decided to leave design and construction of the Marin

This was the europe-west3-c zone not the full region. I don't know why journalists can't get these things right (though a full zone outage WOULD be more interesting so perhaps it's a way to drive clicks). Power failure /

It's also not an advantage, I've seen endless complexity in abstractions on abstraction, fragility and giving up really nice cloud features for this. It'd take years to migrate STILL even with all that effort. And they can&#x
