My point is that I as no expert in fraud can in about 5-10 minutes find many examples of clear fraud online that nothing is being done about. If anything, ONLY buying through the Apple App store would probably result in a safer buying exper

More than that. They gave the media basically a tool to identify music that they owned, then either remove it or take all the money from it. I don't think Kim ever paid content creators. Youtube is pushing probably $5 - $10 billion a y

Finally a good summary. I also picked up on the potential to at least payout Boeing if starliner comes down in good order (which seemed likely). I think that solves Boeings issue and would make them relax on forcing crew. The problem here i

Google is not the default search provider on Windows. It is not the default search provider in Edge. Microsoft prompts at varying levels of annoyingness to get you to stay with their solutions. Historically it was even harder with IE. Despi

Be interesting to see what happens if/when the Fed cuts rates a bit, through they will remain relatively high compared to zero interest rate land. One one hand the economics feels very uncertain and feels like things could fall apart a

I thought the announcement was that features would be rolling out in 2025 and that a beta would be available in 2024? Was it always going to fully launch with the iOS 18 launch not in beta? Going back it does seem like there is some kind of

Headline is not accurate. Good for the ban still, but this was preliminary stuff and there are going to be conflicting rulings on this almost certainly. The rule is very broad, affecting senior execs etc. My instinct is a somewhat narrower

What a totally bogus title. The lies being pushed here may create errors in AI summaries. The FTC ban on noncompetes has NOT been upheld but has been put on hold. "On July 3, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of T

At least in government there often were weird limits on password length (ie, 8, 40, 72 ) or in tooling around passwords. Certificates seem to force allow things like 2048 bits. Didn't Red Hat have a default at 8 for a while??

I think Amazon does a good job here. Default SSH is with certificates, passwords not used. I like that. Hard to brute force a certificates. In the old flat 10.X.X.X network amazon days - your new hosts were absolutely hammered when being b

The real question is what payment providers handle ACH well for a reasonable price. Say lots of $500 invoices. Underlying costs on the ACH platform is pretty low. Would love to find a $3 capped provider. Intuit is uncapped, so a $10,000 pay
