First of all, punishment is two-fold: the formal punishment the court orders; and the informal one: how the community receives you after what you've done is known. I'm mostly concerned about the second. Maybe I'm not being

It's not acceptable to punish today's men for what men of past got away with. That's vendetta, blood feud, primitive. What I watch happening is lots of decisions happening based on nothing. That all or most the particular m

It's ridiculous how all this is not based on the motivation of allowing us as a species to progress, but on that of ensuring the leading (?) place of the US in international politics and economics. I wonder, will I live long enough to

The cases involving intimate/sexual relations (consensual or not) are really difficult to address, and the general approach we have as the (at least nominally) secular and democratic part of the world is just crazy. Probably most alle

I dream about an AI service that can curate me a newsletter given some sources (RSS, Twitter feeds, youtube feeds, whatnot) and send it to me regularly on a given interval. It would avoid duplicates and essentially identical stuff [1], wei

Solid advice. I'll add to this: - Do not follow newspapers RSS feeds. They bombard you with news that are not relevant at all. Their newsletters are better. I get all my news from daily or weekly newsletters. I would like to get w
