Things like this are just apt for abuse. While in real life when this happens, we get a small connection with the person (they live near me / they also were getting coffee), on the internet, people only see a free gift card that automatical

To me, it is only a failure if the time you put into it can make you more money or fulfill you in a greater way if you put it elsewhere. $100 may not be much, but if you are constantly churning out $100/month side projects and working very

The post felt like a tabloid piece -- it does not show that the Presidental Election was hacked, but rather that it could have been hacked. It then goes on to say things like "Connell died a month and a half after giving this deposition

To be fair, they are both "new" computers -- IE not refurbished or used. My point was the intent of the OP could have been what he found on Amazon from the respective retailers -- in which case the price point was much closer to what he men

This was the model I was referring to: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MC505LL-11-6-Inch-Laptop... Which is being sold from Apple on Amazon. I do not know if it is the latest one, but given the OP's original statement, was it ever imp

The model I saw was here: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MC505LL-11-6-Inch-Laptop... Which could very well be the 2010 model. That being said, the OP never mentioned getting "the latest and greatest" Macbook Air, only a Macbook Air.

The Samsung Series 5 3g is $500, the cheapest Macbook Air is $835. So, a little more than a couple hundred dollars more, but a lot less than $650 more (even the cheapest Chromebook at $350 would be tops $485 less).

When I first saw the Chromebook, I figured it would be priced around $150, so that it was a no-brainer decision (especially with it's limitations over a normal laptop). But at $349, its still $75 more than an Acer Aspire One. Make it $100-$

I know you were joking from your first line, and maybe I'm being too much of a hardass, but please don't start saying memes in comments. Its the kind of thing that I would expect on Reddit or Digg, but not here.

I've applied to TechStars about 4-5 times, maybe more. Each time I applied I made more and more progress, and got as far as being a TechStars finalist [Top ~30], but no further. Despite each time being "nonselected" rather than "rejected",

If you don't have friends that can be your cofounders, these events really are the next best thing. You can immediately see who is interesting, who works hard, and who just talks a lot.

My thoughts on it: 1) Two clicks for search needs to go. Why can't they just get rid of the white space from the logo and display the search at all times? Make search easy, not hard. 2) I don't like being asked to share an article before I
