The problem is sometimes people believe lies they've been told -- they might have read an article somewhere that x can do y, when they really misinterpreted the entire thing, and hold that (mis)belief in their head. They might even sound co

It might be interesting as an open source project, but I can't see it as having too much value, especially with hosting services like Dreamhost giving people 1 click installs of Wordpress.

There are a ton of images that Tineye still doesn't reach. I tried his latest comic, for example, and got zero results ( http://www.tineye.com/search/70c1fd774b0bf7bdb500c19e59a98e6... ). I doubt his comic isn't hosted other places on the i

I thank you for your post, and I definitely appreciate what you're saying, but it's only been two months. If Eric is your girlfriend, you are still quite in the "honeymoon phase", if you will, and you're already talking like you are in a lo

True, but it seems like a high price to pay simply to watch the latest television shows on your iPad / other iOS devices.

I still don't understand the draw of Hulu Plus over something like Netflix or Amazon Prime (with its new video on demand servce). $8 a month to still have TV shows with ads in them? (and I swear they keep adding more advertisements to the s

This doesn't make sense from a bunch of different perspectives. Yes, with the Chrome computers, you might not get viruses. But that would be the same as if you got any Linux Netbook that they sell, and would still have many more features

A little pricy for me to be honest. Is an all day battery and 100MB of 3G data a month worth giving up a whole lot of features over a netbook? For some, maybe. But for me, no.

So Obama's birth certificate, something that's been a controversy with conspiracy theorists for awhile, was given to a digital editor so inept that an average blogger could pull apart why it's fake within a day or so? With access to some

Pay Now is now correctly placed. Good job making fast changes! Some updated thoughts: 1) I'd keep the [X]'s inside the App to be honest. They look kind of jarring outside, but maybe there is a third option I am missing 2) Still need to move

I get the personal appeal, but the problem is you only get x seconds from a users attention before they move on to the next site. If the first words on the website are "Hi, I'm J and I have something great to show you", I think to myself "G

One thing I'd say -- there is too much information about you there. The first thing I read at the top was "Hi, I'm Michael, a student and entrepreneur, and I've created a business- and environmentally-friendly product I think you'll like."

I'm going to be harsh, but this needs a LOT of work. 1)Maybe its my screen resolution (1280*1024), but the "Pay now" box overlaps the content of invoice sheet. 2)Where the hell is login? Not where I would expect it, somewhere at the top. it

I can definitely see it from your perspective: not only does it take less time to write one article rather than three [and probably less pressure as well!], it gives you content for your website (not to mention a steady stream of visitors w

Maybe this is the cynic in me, and people will come back to this as they did with Slashdot's famous "No wireless. Less space than a nomad. Lame" for the original iPod, but I can't fathom how they could beat YouTube. There's already seemingl

"We are hoping the required API's will be added to the iPhone SDK" Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but doesn't this line make it sound like they rely on private API's, which Apple hasn't allowed for a while?

While overall this seemed quite cool, I had an issue somewhat with the idea of news.startupguild.net. It's described as "A reddit style link rating & comment system dedicated to articles related to 'no-investment, start small, get big'"

For me, my thinking on one time fees vs monthly fees comes down to this: Once I buy something, every time I use it decreases the amount of money I spent on it per time I used it. But with monthly payments, every time I don't use it makes it

This for me marks an interesting shift--before this, we thought of YouTube as a place we upload movies after we finish editing them, if we edited them at all (Sure they had the Video Editor on their site, but was it really used?). By adding

The pictures of a notebook show some creativity, but in the end I think it hurts you more than it helps you. There were some parts I couldn't read well, and writing words on scraps of paper really didn't convey too much about your product (

I think it would be a good idea to separate your personal business from your job, unless you are very close to your boss. It may send bad signals to your boss if you are trying to get him to invest -- not only are you asking money from him
