Diet fixes blood pressure is many, many people. I was one of them. I eliminated processed sweets and lower my carbs and presto, from ~145 to 115 blood pressure in a few months.

Look at it from the $$$ perspective: people might start demanding less sugar and more of these new artificial sweeteners. Many of these are much more expensive than sugar/fructose and are not as addictive as white sugar/fructose.

My blood pressure went from ~145/95 to ~120/75 just be lowering carbs/sugar drasticaly. Salt has zero effect for me, I ate ~15g + salt and it had zero effect on blood sugar. Carbs though...oh boy.. It may take a month or two

No matter your view on what diet is the best: just cutting out ultra processed sugary+fat sweets (most sweets have 50% sugar and 30% fat) will probably do you wonders.
