The book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price has many pictures of what teeth of people before and after modern processed food looked like.
It's not about brushing teeth: it's about the food. Having a need to brush tooth is just a side effect of bad food.
How do you think people didn't loose teeth and didn't get serious infections 20k years ago? Because they didn't eat these foods. Ancient skulls show perfect teeth (before agriculture) and perfect jaw development.
If modern humans didn't have a dentists 95% of kids would be dead due to tooth infections most likely...
- colordrops 3y agoI have no idea about the scientific veracity of your claims, but anecdotally I've been eating a very healthy mostly vegan low sugar diet, and haven't had a cavity in over 15 years despite using non-fluoride toothpaste. Same for my wife and two sons. There is definitely something to diet and dental health in my opinion.
