I know a guy, he worked at MSFT, and we worked together at FB. Combined he had 10+ yrs of tenure and at one point he was L8 I believe. I assume he has $10m+ net worth. He "quit big tech" and now has a non-profit startup, with fund

I thought this name is a joke. But it's not April 1st. So I googled it, and it's not a joke. Broadcom bought Symantec's enterprise arm, and this is the consuner remnant. The name is for real.

I had similar problems. I bought a Razer Blade Stealth 13, but I cannot recommend it. There are hardware bugs, the biggest one being, 1 out of 3 times if you plug/unplug the power, it goes to sleep. Happens on both Win and Linux. It&#x

I agree with the post, and this works at companies like Facebook and Uber, which have very high hiring bars, impact-oriented internal cultures and can afford to pay a bonus if you help the company be successful. The interesting question is,

It's something I think about a lot, but it doesn't seem like a good trade-off. It's more expensive, and for real-world use-cases a torquey diesel seems a more fun fit: in city traffic, I'm going mostly 0-70 km/h, so

I had an E61 BMW 5, I think the nav/system/display was good. Now I drive the 4 series and the nav/system is not much different in terms of functionality, it's just a bit more pleasant on the eyes and higher resolution. O

I have a similar BMW. In my opinion, the sane way to approach cars is to accept that it's an excellent mechanical machine with shit software. Even if they were to do an awesome job, which they won't, over the years the software&#x

Couple of comments: 1. Fake it 'til you make it is pretty accepted in startup world. It's only a problem if you don't actually make it. If you do, then you're a hero---even if you made wildly unrealistic projections init

Yes, an rxe is longer. But: I've been using regexps was 20 years and I can't remember them (both reading and writing). My brain swaps it out, partly bc I know it's one SO away. But that's bad for code readability.

1. Thanks to the internet/social media, you will _always_ see people who more successful than you are, sometimes a lot more successful. You need to get used to it and learn to deal with it [1]. 2. It may be helpful to think that this i
