Wikimedia France just published an article (in English) with more details: http://blog.wikimedia.fr/dcri-threat-a-sysop-to-delete-a-wik... What's distressing about this is that they found a French Wikipedia sysop who they could identify i

This is slightly meta, but it's nice to see the attitude of the OP here. It quite matches my own. It's always disappointing to see my work appear somewhere else without credit, but usually it is not worth moaning about. At the end of the da

I've recently just sold all my BTC, whilst the hype is still there :) A few friends said I was mad and they would be keeping theirs, but frankly I don't have time to keep an eye on the market and wait for the true peak. Which made me think

Oh this is fantastic! My father teaches astronomy to kids (he has a mobile planetarium that he takes around schools [1]) and one of the main pain points he has mentioned is communicating a sense of scale to them. This is elegant because it

I'd second this. I've never been a fan of this sort of gardening - but in an apartment it works, and is a hell of a lot easier than pots full of soil :)

Articles like this always make me a bit sad, as a keen gardener. It usually involves some "hip" but impractical course from a fancily named company who are masking over the fact that 90% of successful gardening is digging a hole and wateri

Oh piffle, the whole "why do you, as a guy" rhetoric is even worse. Although, for what it is worth, I have volunteered in a women's shelter for many years, so have a wealth of empirical information to draw on. What you're doing, though, is

Indeed. Education is only one part of the personal development you get at school. Socialising/communicating with your peers is another key thing. Which is why so many "proteges" tend to burn out, I think, or have emotional problems as they

That doesn't seem fair either to me. I mean, perhaps I am a sap, but I feel sorry for bullies as well. Usually what drives them is deep seated emotional problems of their own; and by pushing them out of the system all you do is create adult

The system needs fixing by making what the bully did prior to the event actionable by the adults so it wouldn't escalate to where it did. Cameras would help. At a school, the adults are the system, so I think my point still stands. I've
