A lot of this feels like measuring the results of education with standardized tests. Do they ultimately correlate to economic output/GDP? How does the US maintain it's current level of economic output if it's so stupid? Maybe

I think sugar based soda had less sugar per gallon. With HFCS they changed the recipe and added more, even though it's sweeter. Makes people buy more. Not sure what the case is now with back to sugar changes. What I had in mind was int

You're wrong on the internet. The fructose being talked about isn't the nice one in fruits. It's corn syrup or sugar in soda. Yes, obese people consume incredible amounts of it. A gallon a day. Those Texas sized doses of soda

Twitter and Facebook front ends have as much complexity as any fancy gizmo FWA site. And took even more work to get right, because most fancy gizmo sites are throwaway internet flyers, see them once and forget. If they flop it's no big

Branding is one. They can't use a typeface another commercial OS used. Also type designers keep making new fonts with tiny differences from older fonts because the older fonts were already used a lot and don't look fresh. Just lik

Have fun convincing designers to embrace A/B testing. They have to change their whole process, including how they deal with clients. Most will only do it once the design is finished to test minor differences.

Playing videogames prepares you for playing videogames and whatever way they manage human interaction. In the real world everything would be different and the kids won't be prepared. I'm sure videogames will catch up by 2040. Stil

Up to a point yes. A point of 200-220 lbs of muscle on a 6' frame. When people take steroids to gain muscle beyond that it's not healthy. Also a beginner in a plateau who can only bench 160 has no business taking steroids, he'

Yes you can do a bare minimum but without progress you may lose motivation. After a while you get used to the slightly better feeling and slightly better sleep. May get bored with it only to go back to the occasional workout. That was me. I

I'd guess that for your example you'd have labels on the flow components that approximate the order of events. So in the visualizer it can display them in almost linear order. When you want to view low level vs high level code, yo
