People need to remember that perfection is the enemy. Better to step forward in the right direction now than be paralysed by the fear it will never come to pass — obviously, the latter is a self fulfilling prophecy.

The Switch UI is intentionally simplistic to keep it in memory while software is running — and let one of the apps (eShop, Photos, News, Settings, etc.) to run. The Wii U Home Menu, by comparison, could not run while a game was loaded.

Somebody who doesn’t follow the markets probably wouldn’t, no. But those in /r/wallstreetbets aren’t unfamiliar with the machinations of the markets — for many of its core users, it’s not just some little side hobby.

Your defensiveness is really unwarranted. GP is critiquing the way you’ve positioned your theme; in return, you’re teetering on the cusp of directly insulting them.

Great analogy, though. I posted about how macOS’ file picker behaves compared to Windows’ one; this analogy would’ve helped. When I want to use the bog, I’ll use the bog. When I want to clean my bum, I’ll use a bidet. When I want to wish my

I agree on those points. Especially on the first: when people put in the hard work, those pay dividends — but often mean those apps lag behind when Apple does breaking changes (which must happen at least every 3 or 4 years). Apple’s Pro-app

Indeed. Little things like Apple’s implementation of drag-and-drop being lost in this sea of ugly, slow Electron apps is something that you just can’t explain to Electron developers — they make for Windows first, they have no idea what Mac

I suppose it comes down to the fact that sidebars can now inhabit the space usually reserved for title bars. It’s not a design decision against which I have any opposition so long as draggable space remains (and there usually is; I complain

My only response to that is apps that aren’t made to be good macOS citizens wouldn’t even vaguely register on my radar as ‘native’, even if they link against Cocoa. ‘Native’ on Apple platforms isn’t just a technical description, it’s also a

Yeah, there are file management options available via a context menu. I believe certainly keyboard shortcuts also work (Cmd-Del to send a file to the Trash/Bin, Return to rename a file, etc.). You can also choose to Show in Finder.

Yes, a save panel is a save dialogue. It’s just Apple terminology. > I don’t quite get the point of dragging a file to a save dialog at all though? On macOS (since forever) and iOS (since 11), there is a heavy focus on drag. You should b
