I'm unfamiliar with US colleges, but could this just be a scheme to allow wealthy or well connected people to get into positions without the grades part? It would otherwise be pretty easy to show unjust discrimination if it were only g

In the wake of Lastpass there were some criticism of Firefox's password storage security IIRC, might look into that before using sync for passwords.

Opposite experience here. Long time Firefox user and in the past 3 years it's gotten incredibly bad for me as sites have gone more JS heavy, and video in particular has become a huge problem for my Firefox install it seems. Major sites

Those women would rationalize all of those goofy behaviors as being OK if the guy had the good genetics.

While the 80/20 stuff is true i think another under-explored aspect is that there just isn't many non-bot women on these dating apps, after all their business is exploiting men for these gold memberships/boosts. Most women i

There's going to be a lot of surplus elites shaking their heads at low 6 figure offers from non-FAANGs. I'm guessing we'll see a ex-google/ex-Facebook multi-millionaire tech lead influencer boom on YouTube and Tiktok.

LN can be used privately if you send to your own wallet, and Coinbase likes to track what people do after their coins leave Coinbase. Brian said they can't list privacy friendly coins like XMR due to regulations. LN is also unreliable

The AML stuff is expensive even for the investment industry which unlike crypto, isn't perfectly catered to hackers, scammers and money launderers. I'm guessing AML and support is big a cost area for COIN. This is just speculation

Property has been a tax loophole in NZ for decades, so they haven't necessarily ever been in a high tax bracket.

Right wing parties haven't had much say in western Europe as of recent, unless you've re-defined right wing. We're having the same issues here in NZ and it accelerated with a left wing govt.

The advantage of books is you don't have an algo recommending you different things on every page. It's not uncommon for me to look up a 5 minute tutorial on YouTube to be stuck there for 1 hour+ due to the recommendations.

Is Brian much better himself? he used to piggyback on the whole cypherpunk thing and now auto-reports people to the IRS and surveils your TXs after you withdraw from Coinbase. Also was on the whole NFT bandwagon which is a good test to find

None of these bloated apps work on the web very well anymore on Firefox I've found, even Twitter and Instagram. Especially true if you have even minor privacy settings/adblock toggled on in your browser. I think sites like Discord
