There is also absolutely no will in the marketing departments I've seen to measure negative effects of advertising, only the positive. Myself I have an adverse effect when I see an ad for a product. I will actively try to avoid it as I

I'm using Signal on my linux desktop right now. It appears to be a packaged webpage but it works fine and is linked to my phone and laptop. All it require is a phone number, besides it's Snowden approved :)

Yes, but if you have electric only and install a "peis" your rating is increased. There are better options regarding particular pollution like the pellet burning oven, but you do get higher rating from wood alone. The CO2 part is

I think it's very dependent on where you live. The way we do it is to walk into the forest with the axe or chainsaw (often electric) and cut down a tree. After that we drag it home and chop it up with an axe using muscle power ;) There

Burning wood is also CO2 neutral as the forest has captured this CO2 in the last few decades compared to fossil fuel that is accumulated over many millions of years. In Norway you actually get a higher (greener) energy rating for your house

Many countries have laws that prevent media conglomerates like that. Specifically, here in Norway, no entity is allowed to own more than 33% of a media company like a news paper etc.

At first I thought the ticket was going to be "stop using JIRA/Confluence". There is so much time wasted on this system where I work it's amazing. Some people sit all day updating JIRA with all kind of crap instead of ac

Time to bring out the big guns and heavy fines (like the GDPR fines), but it will never happen with the current crop of corrupt politicians. All in the name of profit.
