I love examples of laws like this which, while well intentioned, actually do harm to their own objective.

Is it just me, or do the physics of the tire not make sense here? I'm clearly missing something, given that they have a working demo. But it seems to me that the surface area of the tire is getting stretched and squashed as it spins ho

anecdata: I actually noticed a popping sound recently when plugging in a USB receiver for my wireless mouse via a USB-C adapter. The adapter was already plugged in, and then I plugged the receiver into the adapter. Since that happened, I&#x

I tend to sleep very well, regardless of screen time or caffeine intake. However I think this has mostly to do with the fact that I don't sleep enough and my mind/body cherishes what little rest I allow.

I'm sure this has been repeated ad nauseam here, but a good rule of thumb: Did you pay for the product? No: You are probably the product. Yes: You might not also be the product.

I started running RescueTime in the background on my work machine, and I like it as a reality check mechanism. It's not enforcing anything or firing off crazy alerts if I get off task, it just silently records. Then at the end of the d

You can turn off some of the excess animation in the accessibility settings. They get replaced with a sort of weird fade in/out, but so far I've preferred it to things flying all over the place, and my phone feels more responsive.

Seems like most of the comments on here pertain to the relevance of jQuery, rather than jQuery UI and jQuery Mobile. Sure most sites still use jQuery, but do very many use jQuery UI anymore? jQuery Mobile? I've never seen a project use

My XPS 13 Developer edition had something similar happen to it shortly after upgrading to 17.10. However I think this was circumstance, and that the real culprit was a bad BIOS update from Dell which removed all entries from the boot list (

We just hide 90% of them in the basement, and cycle toys out as our kids get bored of the current selection. This will probably stop being a viable strategy once they are old enough :(

Yes! Especially if what I'm wanting to do is take a video of my kid. By the time I get the photo app to respond well enough to swipe over to video and let it readjust itself, I have missed the moment by seconds.
