Can I ask what your frustrations are with Android? I was actually thinking about going to the Google Pixel, but it's been a while since I've used an Android phone as my day-to-day device.

Never heard of Scaleway...those prices seem to beat the pants of DigitalOcean. Might have to look into that, thank you for mentioning.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a VPS to rent and host your own email server for much less than $5/mo. And that's just an empty server! Now you've gotta set up the email software and hope to god people get your emails sinc

Yeah that includes cached resources. But in my opinion that's even worse since it's not an app that I would anticipate needing so much cached information. Music or Photo applications I would expect to grow in size with use. But fo

Unless you're dead set on OSX, you could look into one of Intel's NUC kits [1]. I find this one pretty intriguing [2] (other than the skull thing, but they provide a blank faceplate as well), but it does limit you to an M.2 form-f

In my purely anecdotal experience, learning web-based technology over C/C++ was not a choice I made personally. It was a career path that was foisted upon me by job availability and hiring requirements. I have yet to see a job posting

I don't think that's really accurate or fair. In my experience, you learn very different things in every workplace. Could be a different language or framework. Could even just be a different team arrangement or workflow. Bottom li

Incidentally, there have been similar space-consuming issues on OS X [1] [2]. Granted, the second one was a third-party application (probably) misusing file versioning APIs, but it's still 200GB of disk space being used in a way that i
