I started running RescueTime in the background on my work machine, and I like it as a reality check mechanism. It's not enforcing anything or firing off crazy alerts if I get off task, it just silently records. Then at the end of the day/week/whatever I can see how much of my time was productive vs unproductive.
- kerbalspacepro 9y agoI've been wondering if there is an open, light alternative to RescueTime for some time. I don't really need their graphics package- just output an excel sheet with the data, do only _some_ data crunching and leave the rest up to me.
