I didn’t read that book but I kind of followed that path. A doctor doesn’t practice health, but heal people, so indeed writing code and making a working software is not the point for me. The obvious example is an independent game developer

The thing is it’s the Gauls that are not much related to the people that drew cave art. European hunter gatherers were replaced by eastern farmers in the Neolithic.

These elements were present but better balanced. The cartoon aspect for 16-bit games like Lost Vikings is on point. In Warcraft 2 you had a perfect mix of seriousness / grit with humor. Over the top art AND comic/anime style AND p

I never got over their shift to cartoon fantasy art style, and how it contaminated fantasy art in general in the 00’s ruined it for me.

Too much focus on software quality and zealous DevOps before product market fit can kill startups too (I even experienced it). Nobody cares about a useless product with good quality. Nothing wrong with that, as others have said maybe change

I’m French and the similitude of a lot of words in British is problematic, because I’m never sure I’m not inventing words. Colour for example sounds like a misspell of “couleur” for me, whereas color feels more English. But maybe it’s just

Not only AlphaZero, but hadn't the whole field of computer vision (which LeCun is specialised in) had its major breakthrough with letting the AI figure out the features (i.e. CNNs)?

What’s sad is even if you get some real truffle (grated/chips…) customers expect a stronger taste so it’s mixed with oil with synthetic aroma. In the Perigord region there are controlled open markets I visited, a 20g truffle for like 2

Yes having bitcoins is just having a private key. In 12 or 24 words format a wallet can even be memorized if needed. The blockchain is the global ledger of how much money there is on corresponding public keys.
