That's not how it works, WhatsApp had 50 engineers when it had 900M users[0]. Beside iMessage is not only used by 10k, some estimates put it at more than 1 billion users[1]. [0] https://www.wired.com/2015/09/wh

You are missing key informations here (see below). The study you linked is on obese people primarily aiming for weight loss, it’s absolutely not of good quality for judging IF because calories and protein intake are not matched between the

It’s not that simple, a lot of places in the world don’t have the means to preserve archeological artifacts. Also past a certain date I’m of the opinion it’s a shared human history (because the more we go back the more we share ancestors) t

I think you get bombarded with hate because of the larger problem of extreme polarization on social media. All subtlety is lost, you are associated with the one anti-science group, opposed to the one pro-science group.

Can you be more specific? I’m a fan of the books and I quite enjoyed these first episodes. I didn’t notice obvious politic agenda and diversity was handled quite gracefully (i.e. not noticeable if you are not looking for it), nothing clashi

Yup, the Witcher series did a great job at that (I say this as a fan of the books but not the game). E.g. Elves are discriminated because of pointy ears, not skin color, so no reason to limit the cast the story works equally well.

No because by this rule TikTok is less problematic, it's just entertainment, it doesn't take the crown from FB/Twitter/YT for doing the most damage to society. Same for surveillance, the surface area is just too small co

I have an alternative for B2B that worked not too bad for me as a typical introvert sales-averse SE: working a few years in customer support, pre-sales and solution engineer, ideally all three at the same time (in B2B obv.). Then you’ll hop

TikTok and IG are mostly for entertainment not for learning, not sure how efficiency apply. Also we are talking about an instant stream of short clips, not old school YT where launching a video requires clicking and waiting.

To my understanding you can’t have both huge inflation and debts, absolute value of debts don’t change contrary to everything else. If everything (including salaries) does x2, then debts get divided by 2. Inflation has positives too.

From what I've seen with old country side houses in France just insulating the roof and the windows can already bring very good results (heat lost through walls is usually only around 25% of all the losses). A quick and cheap solution

I don’t really see how it meets that definition. It’s not a note or a contract, it’s just numbers and a global state, it represents nothing.
