Completely reasonable comment downvoted by the Elon Musk fan brigade. C'mon folks.

Do you think the name "Boom" could become a liability if there are any accidents along the way?

This is the right answer. It's frustrating that folks can't see it.

I get downvoted reliably for taking issue with Tesla and Musk, but here I largely agree with them. People need to consider such incidents in the context of the overall danger of driving. That said, Tesla needs to maintain its PR in order to

Thanks for the reply. It's a shame you're the only person who saw what I wrote before the yes-man crew came along and downvoted me.

I know I'm cruisin' for a bruisin' here karma-wise, but I just don't understand what they are trying to do with their company mission. From my perspective, Dropbox actually facilitates an old, broken way of creating and

This is spot on. I would get rid of it as the only thing I really use it for is social logins, but there's the other issue of wanting access to the Facebook Developer stuff. I guess I could just make an account only for that?

To me the ugly piece of this is that companies like Zynga really operate in the realm of addiction. So, Facebook is operating as a sort of addictive drug on steroids.

I don't actually think the data sharing piece is the most important concern highlighted in recent days. To me, it's Facebook's pernicious effect on those who become addicted to the service and can't stop generating and c

Can someone explain to me how this works? Who are the miners? Where is the competition to mine blocks? How is the system distributed such that one entity can't back-propagate fabricated blocks into the chain?

I was scared no one would mention Elon Musk. I actually came to this thread, did cmd-f and typed Musk just to check.

I got a used Nissan Leaf for $8000 and installed the Level 2 charging station that the seller threw in for free myself. Couldn't be happier. Also, that extra $30000-$100000k in my bank account (depending on the Tesla I didn't buy)

This is emblematic of who Tesla's customer is until (if/when) the Model 3 gets really going. Almost no one can pay $100k to have a car "without a drivetrain hump" and that doesn't burn gas. Sure, those are nice thin

I can't imagine a Mars base being useful in any meaningful way (aside from _maybe_ some sort of esoteric scientific utility) without reducing the transit time between the planets to at most a few days.

In my opinion, Tesla is a fantastic luxury car brand and will continue to be so (assuming they can continue to get funding for their plans). That said, I don't think they will be able to compete in the midrange and economy segments. Th
