I’ve lived in Cali. I wont make that mistake again. Czechia and Hungary sliding sliding into authoritarianism? Please. That just not serious.

Agreed, its very common. But this doesn’t apply to me. Allow me to explain: I lived in four different countries across three continents seven different times by age 15. Throughout, middle class. Leaving Europe for Canada as a teen was extre

Get off your high horse. This is a long term international effort where irrelevant Western countries in the peripheries (that’s the EU) have nibbled away at encryption protections to make it easier for the US to do the same. It’s part of a

If they fall within the lifetime of the loan. 11% interest rates werent a one year thing. That being said, I keep forgetting refinancing is one of the great American blessing we dont enjoy elsewhere. And Ive refinanced twice already :D

You can get cheap houses in the US if you’re willing to live outside select cities. If you’re an IT guy with potentially little impact on your salary. That being said, we’re in this weird regime where interest rates set the market price of

My math might be wrong, but according your source isn't the annualized month-to-month inflation 7.5%? (1+0.6/100)^12 = 1.0744. The year-to-year (multiply all seven rates and then power to 12/7) is 7.1% which is pretty close t

I enjoyed CW more than FC. I think FC was more depressing. I like Ivan Denisovich most though - theres a message of hope in it that that the others lack. I agree about the romanticism of CW. Why dismiss love as asinine?
