I don't think that you need to be afraid and migrate just because of that. Swarm is not a service, so if they stopped developing it then you'd have plenty of time figuring out how to move away because your Swarm clusters would not

We're going with Swarm exactly because of the reasons you've listed. The EE part is a bit flaky sometimes (I'm looking at you, UCP), but Swarm is brilliant.

If you're managing large amount of servers and don't want to update configs on the servers themselves then use e.g. OpenLDAP.

Genuine question: what functionality does this provide that e.g. Ansible doesn't? With Ansible, one can put the SSH keys into a .yml file in a format that is very similar to the examples in the OP, then the authorized_key module can be

I have a Matias Ergo Pro. It's a brilliant split keyboard. Great quiet but tactile switches, tenting, etc. But the QC is terrible. The interconnect cable had connection issues, keys are often 'stuck' (not physically, just kee

So we're discussing a Twitter post that refers to a list that contains lists of good reads. It'd be even funnier if there was a tl;rd bot on HN that'd summarize all good reads in 3 sentences.

My refurbished Zbook had problems with the screen (it looked like). I called HP, engineer came to my flat few hours later, replaced the screen for a new one. He tested it and realized that it's still flickering, so he replaced the GPU.

Stopping investing into a technology that is probably going to dominate the industry for the next 25 years might not be too smart. (EVs are coming, but they're quite far from accounting for >50% of the total vehicle sales.) It'

It can't be 'properly specified' as that'd mean that there is a single interpretation of medical concepts across all users/customers. This has never been true and probably won't ever be.

That's not true in a whole lot of industries. Many (!) small shops simply can't choose the cloud because of various reasons (regulations, for example).

No, it's not 'less dependent'. The way how it helps is that you can standardize configuration management across environments relatively easily. Containerization does not result in less moving parts in a given environment; but
