The writing by Trevor didn't make me shy away from Lumina's product, I was still quite excited. It would have been good to see scientific debate which could hopefully improve or clarify processes and safety. Lumina's court th

The point here is that for all intents and purposes, using the information made public, the rooms are located under the university and not UNRWA as the IDF claims.

Whenever I see ads, I ask myself why companies would spend so much money if it barely has any effect (given that ads have essentially no impact on me). And then there's posts like this which remind me that there is a whole group of peo

I'm a bit confused by the response, but 'Palestinian' is not an ethnicity, no. 'Jews' are an ethnoreligious group.

I personally never said Israel is an ethnostate, but a Palestinian state is definitely not a mirror image of Zionism. It was never historically monoethnic and issues with Jews is a post-Israeli thing. Not to discount pre-Israel antisemitism

Complete nonsense. The Palestinian National Charter doesn't restrict citizenship to only Arabs, it explicitly keeps citizenship for pre-Israeli Jews and you can bet a million dollars that it wouldn't restrict the Afro-Palestinians

Nobody advocates for a Palestinian ethnostate, it's a concession that was made to resolve the issues after the Jewish refusal of a bi-national solution that would have Jews as the minority.

I wonder if this is some long play by OpenAI: 1. OpenAI is trying (and failing?) to add legal restrictions on LLM (and co) training to only a few major players. 2. By entering into licensing agreements, it starts to set the standard and ess

Definitely. An example is Abdul Jabbar Abdullah[0]. Iraqi, not ethnically Arab, contributed to research at MIT. And filed under 'white[1] American' science. [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Jabbar_Abdul

What's a reasonable amount, in your opinion, to disable ads on a piece of hardware you purchased (i.e a Roku) to watch your own locally streamed media?

Don't worry, there will be a small monthly subscription of $9.99 to disable them! Or if you buy the new Roku Plus Extreme you can opt-out of personalized ads! What more could you want?

The civilian count of October 7th was 695 people. Not that that makes it any better, but it's about a 50% increase to push it to 1000. The population of Israel is about 9.5 million. So your actual ratio is closer to 1 in 13500 or so. I
