I'm not sure how that's your takeaway here. Hertz's troubles seem pretty unrelated to the experience as a consumer. While Turo is great for your weekend trip or whatever, it is not at all good for a business traveler.

This doesn't compare debt to similar companies. Avis has around $15B in debt. Agreed the management bonuses aren't that extravagant, but I'm not sure the debt is either.

Yeah... except this is more complex than Gartner's hype cycle captures. This isn't k8s or openstack. There are real technical challenges to making this work, not that it doesn't magically solve all things - it can't sol

But it isn't 10% - it's probably closer to 50%. The car is $30-50k with a lifetime of what, 10 years? The driver needs to earn $40k/yr. The vast majority of the cost is the driver - insurance and fuel are next, ultimately fol

Sorry - isn't 'creative' as a noun just replacing 'ad' in this example? It's a gussied up way of suggesting this is more highbrow than 'ad' which tends to have a pejorative connotation.

I think taking PR people's opinions with a grain of salt is par for the course. Re: the OP - this isn't just a throwaway account. It's a pretty obvious agenda beyond just sharing the facts.

I would bet a lot that the production lines weren't running 24x7 or anywhere near it for ventilators. They're probably batch builds. i.e. 1-4 weeks of production every X weeks. Scaling production != building new lines/facto

It sucks, but I've done it and do it. Unfortunately sometimes you just have to. But these are maybe around 10h max flights - given the range of ~4000-4500 miles. So you're still on a plane for ~5 hours. But you still have the sa
