They probably just forgot to delete the subscription in stripe or whatever they use to manage it after the account was deleted? Sounds like a bug and not intentional? Can't imagine it is, they'd have to put more effort into custom

Hi OP- could you post an update here after? In the past I used PayChex instead of Gusto because I was worried about the lack of support so I'm curious how this ends up resolving now that you found an escalation specialist. Hope it all

Both of those things can be true... it's not just one or the other. There are plenty of jobs right now that are more menial tasks which will definitely be replaced by this, and I feel for those older folks in those positions because th
