I was recently watching a commencement address [0] by Neil Gaiman (author) and he talks about lying about writing for certain publications to get writing jobs. In a similar tangent, he mentioned that he made it a point to write for those pu

Not commenting on the morality of the leak but given the IRS has been gutted [0] over the years by those in power, perhaps this insider was sick of seeing the public narrative on taxes be completely different from what was happening private

I was recently browsing LinkedIn and some random person had posted that they had a 'wikipedia' entry about them and were super excited to find out and that they felt elated to be recognized in that manner. Everyone on that thread

I think that wasn't the point. "I'm selling my Harvard diploma", in my opinion, fits under the category of clickbait because it makes you (me anyway) curious to find out more - why is the author selling his diploma? If t

Warning for others clicking on the link, it's pretty graphic and appears to be a video of an actual incident with the treadmill. I was expecting it to be a product demo video or something.

This fails to account for the fact that IRS currently (and maybe this changes in the future) has a hard time doing serious audits on any significant amount of wealthy people; and that the agency has pretty much been gutted over the years. [

I think the two board members mentioned definitely fail the "Independent" test but in the grand scheme of things at least Fred Wilson as a VC has a basket of other companies that he/his firm own shares in so he's not as

I think another thing to keep in mind is that wikipedia pages don't tell the whole story. So you shouldn't feel bad about being way off. Investors assigning value have access to other metrics not visible to us - customer numbers,
