Is there a page that shows reviews/apps/etc from folks that participated in the 1st or 2nd cohort? Couldn't find one on this page or the linked website. I'd love to learn more.
- billnyetheai 6y agoHey! Sorry we haven't made one but we will in the future. For right now, I'll type it out here. A couple of projects I'd like to highlight: - Nanite: A writing goal app to help people keep track of their written words per day and provides stats on how they're doing, what they're writing, etc. - Rekku: An anime recommendation system using machine learning, it actually just got integrated with a large anime website: https://www.randomanime.org/anime-like/ https://www.randomanime.org/anime-like/ For this season, we have some ideas of areas we'd like to work on (personally I like education tech, finance, etc.) but it's more so based on brainstorming with the different teams and what their personal goals are. In terms of reviews we did end up surveying the crowd at the end of season 2. The reason we didn't include it in a page was because they were very question oriented instead of something easily clip-able facepalm. Here are some answers the "What did you like about CCA?" question: - Team was friendly, work was enjoyable. I think working on a project with a definitive goal in mind, and audience in mind, really helped. - The mentoring: it's supportive, helpful, and a valuable way to gain feedback on what one is working on. Pairing UX designers/researchers with developers: a great way to encourage/develop soft skills and teamwork. The weekly meetings are also good for keeping everything/everyone on track with what to work on or talk about issues/tasks that need to be addressed. - Team work: there was a strong spirit of collaboration towards a common goal with various skills contributed from mentors and participants. This came through strongly in the polite and constructive language used in meetings, and the helpful demeanour of all towards each other.
