In ten years of smartphone ownership, I've never killed a phone with water damage. I've actually never lost one to any damage at all. Waterproofing is a gimmick (to me).

Thanks for the pointer to keepassium - it does look a lot like what I'm after - I'll keep an eye on it!

Yes, this is more or less what I found - a reasonable number of implementations of apps which can read/write a keepass database, but sorely lacking in all the nice bells and whistles features that I like in the Android app.

Yep, at least in the UK. If you want to leverage the cloud as a bank, then there are regulatory requirements to go Multi-cloud - it's not a choice.

I'm still stuck on "Yeah, but I need a credential to authenticate with Vault to get the other credential that I want". Very chicken and egg.

Anyone know if there's a way to get the Oreo "Recent apps" feature back? The new one is fairly terrible in my opinion, it now takes many more swipes to get back to the app I want.

Does anyone know if these things are possible to get working when your daily interaction is with a thin client? My workstation sits in a rack in a server room, and where I work's current policy of 1.7 people to a desk means we all hot

This is great and all, but I just wish they'd fix it so that bluetooth connections don't crash the UI on my phone.

I guess my best "early" curl memory is finding out, after hacking on Rockbox for two or three years, that the bagder I knew and counted as a respected friend was also the author and principal maintainer of curl too. mind blown :

I really wanted to switch to using KeePassXC instead of the original one, as it's definitely a better user experience for the most part when you're flipping between OSes (Windows 10 and various Linux distros in my case). But my wo

I've got a Pixel XL 1st Gen currently, which cost me about £800. I've also got a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort II over ear bluetooth headphones which cost me £300. With such investments, I'd expect to not keep losing the connect

From what I understand the "cURL" format of the word is popular mostly with users of the PHP bindings. "curl" is what the project uses, but I'm not sure they really care what other people refer to it as :)

I have a 5520 too, but one I got via the outlet store, and which came with Windows 10, not Ubuntu. I've since partitioned it and have Arch running on it too. Was completely painless, and everything works. Which distro are you having i

The number of "but AirPods are great" comments on this entire thread is hilarious. Not relevant. The article is about Google's phone, not the iPhone. Google have arguably made their BT stack worse in Oreo. Since it got the

Don't they have to use a fine copper grid over the surface of any carbon fibre used in aircraft? Otherwise you get a lightning strike on the wing, and it explodes? Does that help shielding from radiation too?
