I think it's a US thing. I've never not got the seats I'd reserved either. I've only done two domestic flights inside the US, one from JFK to Miami, and one from Minneapolis to Seattle, and both of them were utterly aw

I've been using Arch as my WSL image for about a year I think. I used this tool to get it going : https://github.com/RoliSoft/WSL-Distribution-Switcher

Someone on the previous thread about this was arguing that the EU should start imposing the same sorts of border checks that the US does to EU citizens, on US citizens coming into the EU. The theory being that this sort of tit-for-tat appro

You don't need the backdoored lock. The TSA will helpfully use bolt cutters on any locks they don't have a working key for. Source: Me and my suitcase a couple of years ago. (Which had a TSA approved lock on it!!)

Interestingly I tried both those airports as they're the ones I most frequently arrive at when flying in to the US. I'm not a US citizen, and the lines for immigration at both of those airports take me a couple of hours usually, s

We've been looking into deploying Conjur ( https://www.conjur.com ) for the SSH part of this question at least, as they provide a rotator which doesn't require changes to our server build (i.e. no special PAM modules or

I wish people would get off Daniel's case about this. If you want to re-implement curl in rust or whatever, no-one's stopping you!

Thanks for the link - that's a useful read. So I signed up as indicated - but perhaps this free tier thing doesn't really work for accounts outside the USA either - as when trying to fire up an f1.micro instance it still says it&#

For some probably very good reasons I can't figure out - you can't sign up for the free trial as an individual from the UK - only as a business. So I guess I won't be trying this.

I'm 50/50 on this. I _am_ offended by the shady practises coming out around Uber, and would like to vote with my feet as it were - but in London UK, Uber has no real alternative. Lyft doesn't operate at all outside the US as
