I would love to use this on my iCloud mailbox. It seems odd to use the Gmail API instead of IMAP. Hopefully that becomes supported in the future because the project seems great.

It's dissipating the same amount of heat as the same CPU with fans. The difference here is the heat is inside it instead of blown out into the air.

I've seen people 3D printing this exact thing on Instagram for months.

There's a strong overlap of these people also doing stupid stuff like flying near and on the final approach courses of instrument approaches.

Good on you for altering the page. I very much hope to see the desktop client become open source soon, as I would very much like to use it. Best of luck with the project.

You gave this exact same answer to me in your Discord a year ago. If nothing sketchy is going on why not just open source the thing? At a minimum you should remove the banner at the bottom of the page claiming it's open source.

One must ask themselves why a REST testing tool has venture capital and needs to be closed source (despite their website proudly claiming "Open source"). I'll pass on installing this onto my computer.

Students waste a tremendous amount of time learning these things which could be better spent elsewhere. What if what humanity needs to realize is that language learning is a waste of time, unless you are studying the history of language. Th

Some other interesting things I've noticed is counters are often wrong, sometimes even with insane values such as -1. Replies missing from retweet views, missing search results, people have reported that replies sometimes don't wo

So as someone that potentially would ask you that, here's my thinking. Rust programs are (in my experience) always fast, less buggy (I'm sure you'll immediately scoff at that, but compared to the number of runtime errors I ge

I've had this idea of starting back at basics and relearning math from the beginning since I never "really" learned it besides memorizing and skirting my way through it in school. Do you know a good path or book that's s

Question for people that read deep into these things. What is the best CPU for the linker stage of compiling? I would assume these high performing single core "gaming" CPUs would do well, but I must admit I care a lot about power

My issue with Mastodon is deployment. Why do they have all these silly little services doing different tasks? Inevitably someone's going to rewrite it all in Rust and it's going to handle 100x (without even being optimized/lo

Just to share my experience: I had a game server that accepted donations through Paypal. We had nearly $4000 in the account when suddenly it was frozen for "suspicious activity". We never got the money back and Paypal support ghos

A burner phone is really only useful one time. Each time it's turned on and used more and more statistical indicators are emitted. - The location the device was turned on, used, turned off. - The devices contacted by the burner phone T

If you don't like Newpipe you can use Youtube Vanced which is basically a pwned version of the native Youtube app. I've had some stutters with Newpipe but overall I like it. Osmand really isn't bad, sure it's a little bi

Signal is specifically designed to work without Google Play Services, so expect a 1:1 experience when using it with these privacy conscious distros. I'm confident Whatsapp will work, but I have not tried. Push notifications will not wo

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I've played the most demanding Android games on the Pixel 3a with no issues. I've never experienced anything but a butter smooth UI on Graphine or Lineage to be honest. The battery life has

GraphineOS constantly spoofs the device's MAC so that argument is not valid (I also don't know how a website based email client is getting your MAC). It's also extremely easy to spoof the device's name. The way they are

If your phone is locked you will most likely not get the notifications, it just depends on the app. I do agree it can waste battery. It's important to remember this is only a concern on non-free apps. The FOSS apps have very low power

Some will, however I have heard some of these apps have janky hooks into Android's trust system which will break them on non-google distros. Personally I wouldn't suggest having banking apps on a phone. You can always use the web

Yes they will work, however to get notifications when the apps are closed you would need to have to some form of Google Play Services. I suggest MicroG if you are intending to do this since it seems to be the least invasive. In my personal

I use GraphineOS and LineageOS without Google Play Services. They are great and are suitable replacements for Apple and Google. - Osmand(FOSS) for maps (supports being fully offline!) - Signal and Discord for messaging (Discord is sandboxed
