I've heard this many times and there is definitely some truth there, but for small doses (i.e. 100ug LSD and 1-1.5g mushrooms), I don't think you need to overly-concern yourself with minutiae of the differences. There is no reason

I have learned about the perils of overworking the hard way - burnout after about 2 years of working too much. I've since learned to be more tempered. However, maybe I am missing something in most of the comments in here. Everybody see

For better or worse, it's not the importance of a disease per se that drives innovation, it's money. So assuming that hair loss is the kind of problem that would get people to spend money, then we might see some progress here.

The past year has taught me that this type of comment is generally anti-measures, so I am asking you this: do you think that letting it run loose through the population is a decent approach?

I have a slightly cynical view about this sort of thing, and assume that most might have some counter-arguments for why my cynicism is misguided. I get that the point of the post is to encourage others, but proclaiming to have "learned

It definitely is, and believing anything else is delusional. With that said, would you like to be the politician to stop the madness, if that's even possible? Things will not change until we have a crisis.

Because our economy is somewhat of a Ponzi scheme, in which everything needs to keep growing forever. We are perpetually borrowing from the future, with the assumption that everything will be growing forever. As people get older, they start

It is very hard to understand why your comment was downvoted this badly. I thought everyone understands that the planet is overpopulated as it is and that bringing as many children into the world as possible is not a net positive.

As I said before, I am deeply troubled by what is happening in HK. I don't like China one bit and I would be so incredibly happy if it became a democracy. If you look at this through the lens of morality, it is obvious that there shoul

The footage from the HK protests were and still are deeply moving. It is hard to ignore the gravity of the situation and easy to empathize with the people just fighting for their freedom. With that said, I feel like we have to be objective

Interesting, somehow I never thought of that. Lowering taxes is just not a major talking point in European politics except maybe for certain types of taxes, or distributing them differently, but there are no big divides on this.

Indeed, and I am comparing to Europe. In Europe, I can usually get an appetizer and a main course and be kinda full, but not stuffed. In the US, the appetizer along would usually get me full.

This attitude towards cyclists is somewhat universal outside a few cycling-friendly countries, it is not US specific by any means. Cyclists are always seen as a nuisance, since they block the road for the "real" traffic. Cycling l

Who else feels like the TSLA price is a gigantic bubble at this point? Not that it's not valuable or worthy of some of the growth it's seen, but almost 10x in one year looks like a classic bubble to me. LE: Also, I don't real

I can work for 8+ hours (close to 14h), but there are a lot of caveats and the output is noticeably worse. Also, I can do it for a week or two, but after a while it takes a toll. The number of times I spent hours on an issue in the evening
