Mine actually was counterfeit. I could tell because the phone comes up with the message "please replace your unauthorized battery with a genuine battery" and the phone wouldn't work. My phone is at that point where it start

I bought a phone battery on amazon. Looked legit, was the top result for my phone. It was counterfeit and wouldn't work. I don't even know how to get a battery because the phone stores didn't have it anymore. Can't t

People have no problem spending $20,000 for a car, $3k/year for insurance, thousands more for gas and maintenance. For some reason, people freak out when anyone tries to add or increase toll roads. If you want to see a comment get ep

Good reason to wait for the next chip cycle. AMD will have smoothed out any rough edges and Intel will show us what they've really got.

Even before, you had to sell over $1,000,000 in amazon stuff to make a meaningful amount of money.

This is a good investment. Cities spend a lot of their budget on roads. A lot of cities are gridlocked with no room to widen existing roads. All he has to do is find a way to tunnel a little bit cheaper and he will find work for his tunne

Maybe a big L2 cache is nice, but overall performance is all that really matters. I suspect the figures we have seen are from running the chip hot with a fancy cooler. Gamers won't be able to overclock much and regular people will ha

Why do you trust the whole foods brand? Do you think the libertarian CEO goes to china to verify the ingredients are actually grown organically? Do you think the bush administration holdover in charge of the organic label goes to china to

I used to shop only at whole foods, happily paying $200 for 3 paper bags of groceries. Then in 2009 their CEO spouted some libertarian crap how he was against healthcare reform. I was shocked that whole foods wasn't run by hippies.

The non-rich will adopt self driving cars faster than anyone. They will use these cars as a service and not need to own one or pay for insurance. It will be rich people with their sports cars and fancy motorcycles fighting us on this.

The real safety payoff will be when manual driving is banned on public roads. We will have to fight the "freedom is doing whatever I want" people who are going to defend the right to manually drive on public roads.

I used to be a gimp fanatic keeping up with the latest alpha builds. I lost a bunch of money one time using gimp to implement a website from psd. I implemented that site pixel-perfect but gimp had rendered the psd completely wrong so it l

I love ultrabooks- I was using a eeepc when the 2012 macbook pro came out and took credit for removing the cdrom. The problem with current macbooks is that they moved beyond ultrabooks and became ultralights. Thinner at all costs. Forget

There are a lot more reasons I switched to windows than a vpn that stopped working. I tried for over 4 years to incorporate osx into an engineering work flow. The nominally cross platform eclipse stack I was using never became fully compa

Yes, I've heard all the excuses as to why apple can only offer 16gb. There are xeon laptops with 128gb, so whatever.

It wasn't the first issue I ran into being on osx and everyone else using windows. As someone who used these machines for work, I can't control what terrible protocols people use, I just need it to work.
