Theorycrafting models is one of the most raw genuine sparks people have. Most people I think have some unmessianic tendencies that keep them from verging into belief that theirs is the hardset model of it all. > GNS theory is an inform

The actual quibbles here seem pretty marginal. If wasm really ends up being much faster 8 could care more about performance, but my heavens JS has been quite fast for a decade & has been ever improving. The standard library is growable.

Not a huge deal, but heads up from 3d ago that pyrex is now often tempered soda-lime glass & not borosilicate & is somewhat succeptible to thermal shock breakage. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36206565 PYREX

Tl:dr, turns out in most markets Pyrex switched off borosilicate glass, which is toxic & expensive to dispose of. And now uses tempered soda-lime glass, which is more succeptible to thermal shock breakage but still pretty ok. PYREX all

$23.6B. US chips act was $280B. I really hope somehow new companies & things can spawn from these efforts. It's not just making fabs we need. We need a silicon foundry shift again, where students & startups do fabless chipmakin

Every state making up rules is going to keep making shit incredibly messy & much harder to operate. What a time we had when nations didn't each claim sovereignty over the global network.

In the US, there's a lot of "unlimited" options with then absolutely brutal throttling after. Comcast is 2x anyone else's speed with 1.5Mbit down. I think maybe there's some new plans that just say "depriorotiz
