Stuff like this is exactly why I'm planning to move out of the EU soon. After article 13 and nonsense like this it's clear that the EU does not serve the interests of its member states' citizens.

Honestly I'm happy to print at my Uni's library at this point. I just send a PDF and that's it - it's much cheaper than a personal printer anyways.

True. IMHO IP law is based on a moral and not a utilitarian basis, and as we know from almost all recent FLOSS projects especially in Cloud (Linux, Kubernetes, ...) IP is just a massive hindrance to productivity and has a net negative effec

I agree! Having more than one (or two, if we include WebKit - but Blink is a fork of it, so ...) relevant browser engines would be great. But as it stands right now, the fact that I can build apps that have all capabilities that the end use

Yeah, but that's awesome! The end user has the free choice of what OS they want to use. What's the problem with that?

How so? Chromium is the single most important reason Linux is now a viable desktop option, with even all of the M$ Office apps, Outlook etc. working as PWAs. Not to speak of i.e. Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, Teams ...

Note how they don’t contribute anything to X/Wayland, they only _extend_ it so that DX12 and other proprietary, Windows-only systems can interact with Linux. These are anti-features. Like they could also just use Vulkan and be done wit
