When considering future of tech, its valuable to consider there are at least two well-trodden paths: 1. semi-linear extrapolation of existing tech and progression (maturing tech) 2. new paradigms approaching the problem from a new angle or

Interesting. There's a conclusion chain around that I'll have to dig up. Thanks for the sanity check.

Serious question: does anyone still trust supermicro? I have them on my mental blacklist since the reveal they were injecting backdoors into their hardware. I also dont trust shell games under the label of "changing suppliers" whe

Ive gotten starkly different reports between the two, including active rainfall vs not, weather alerts vs zero data. Plus the widget in iOS doesnt actively update and you have to effectively open the weather app or something else to repoll.

To look at the bigger picture here, this is really the longtail of trust lost in companies due to excessive layoffs and clear consistent messaging that the employee is just a head that can roll when its convenient and cost effective. The re

It seems to read similar to a leveraged buyout. Easier to do things when the company doesnt have to show its books. Also interesting is that these are market areas that AWS is starting to expand into.

If this is true, I'm just going to delete Triplebyte and all things associated with it. If the practice becomes, "wait until theyve forgotten about it then try again." I dont trust them, and wont again.

Have we become so exhausted by New Battery news that we don't even post the checklist? Where's the beef.

Would be nice to have more details on how they constructed their models, and how they captured variance between each model seed. Otherwise this is just fluff, like "cool story bro".

I'm the same way with blocking. That's good insight, and mostly aligns with my experience. In the past it was mostly js players and similar api calls via scraping/injection, which are more prone to changing their selectors an

Just a continuation of the cat-in-washing-machine metaphor. Yowl instead of meow, where a real example would be learning how to have a hard, yet productive, conversation with your manager about issues which are or could lead to burnout.
