You should probably put the FAQ link somewhere other than the very bottom of the page, it's quite easy to miss as-is.

I don't think that's really an accurate portrayal of what happened with AES and 3DES. NIST (aka the US government) were the ones that introduced AES and recommended everyone switch over to it. 3DES was kind of a quick hacky extens

Microsoft doesn't attempt to repair their machines because they are glued shut to the extent that they are basically impossible to repair. The fast turnaround is nice when you have a problem covered by warranty but if you have any pr

I just don't get why replaceable standard-sized lithium ion batteries have pretty much completely failed to take off other than those 18650 flashlights and vape pens. The proprietary replaceable batteries are an improvement over non-re

It is definitely advertising. Back when streaming services were new, the lack of advertising was a major selling point of streaming services vs cable but now they're stuffed full of ads and for some reason the ads are for content you&#

Part of it is just that "1:1" is misleading because of how camera manufacturers count pixels. A "pixel" on a monitor is a set of R, G, B subpixels but camera manufacturers count every subpixel separately and essentially

Are you expecting them to add a hi-fi ADC and a mic preamp to a $35 SBC? The existing audio output on the Pi is of terrible quality and I would expect any future audio input to be of worse quality than those $10 XLR->USB mic adapters.

2.80 is definitely a pretty big UI improvement, and the new EEVEE renderer makes it much easier to work with materials and preview how they'll actually look in game since it is functionally similar to modern game engines.

The US has insulation requirements, it varies a lot state to state but new housing generally has at least decent-ish insulation. The main issue is that there is a lot of very old housing stock in the US. As of 2015 the median house was 37 y

It's an update to Zen+, though a pretty big one. The last few "new" AMD designs were K10 in 2007, Bulldozer in 2011, Zen in 2017. Intel hasn't done a ground-up redesign in over a decade.
