Not really. We have Stripe send a recharge reminder 7 days before it happens next month with an option to unsubscribe through Stripe subscription portal in 2ish clicks. No cancellation reason asked. I've done plenty of growth hacking b

Hey I built getdispute.com to do literally exactly this: sue big companies in small claims court easily. First, I strongly recommend sending them a demand letter. You can generate one for free on getdispute.com/products/demand-let

This might be one of those cases where “legal but regulated” is better than driving people to seek the product from completely unregulated markets. Canada has many reasonable regulatory alternatives including: - condition libel protection t

Interesting learnings for me from this article: - Lego operates multiple $1B+ factories around the world - they are not just a design and marketing company - 1400 manufacturing jobs in Virginia expected - not just an automated thing. Anyone

It’s interesting the difference in trajectory between Facebook and Google right now and the impact of being founder led. Zuckerberg made a weird bet on metaverse… but also drove a real change in staffing levels unlike Google who has sat abs

Great write up, thanks for posting. I’ve been thinking of doing this for myself. One thought that’s haunting: how long before AI friends are more interesting and stimulating than any real person would be, leading people to prefer AI over hu

One level further: the historian asking questions is itself an AI meaning as soon as primary sources are provided, interesting history insights flow out.

This is very impressive technology and engineering. However, I remain a bit skeptical of the business case for TPUs for 3 core reasons: 1) 100000x lower unit production volume than GPUs means higher unit costs 2) Slow iteration cycle - thes

Worth remembering GPT3 was 10-20 times more expensive 2yrs ago. There's a super-moore's law type learning function going on here and I suspect in 1yr GPT4.5 will be the same cost as GPT3.5 today. It's insane... feels like iPh

The Fed is giving banks an infinite credit line at par value of their assets. This allows them to borrow and cash out any customer who wants, so long as they have assets. This program would have saved SVB last week. People may continue movi

23% of the reserve, or $9.7B is held in cash. I think on Thursday, SVB saw cash outflow requests over $40b in one day. USDC peg is so far below 1 right now there will definitely be a lot of par arbitrage Monday trying to withdraw. Hopefully

The fact that they filed a last minute report on a Friday night speaks volumes about the amount of withdrawals they must be experiencing. This is about as strong as a signal they could put out to stop a possible run.

Yes completely agree. But, this car never even pretended to advertise driving itself. Most likely, it advertised plain, vanilla "cruise control." At best, it also advertised lane keeping and radar cruise control.

Important to note, this was a 2014 Model S. Most 2014s did not have any autopilot (just standard cruise control), and the ones that did used an off the shelf module from a third party company.
