I agree constraints can generate creativity, but is there evidence that constraints generate more of it? It seems like no. This is all difficult to quantify, but if I were to attempt to paraphrase history and try to quantify anyway, at leas

I don't think it's as complicated as you make it out to be. It's just adding to the "Do not disturb" option that's been there for ages. You can still use that indiscriminate DND option and ignore the rest. But

I greatly prefer the UX of Apple Maps for navigation, but the search is still bad compared to Google Maps. The verbal directions and UI are clearer IMO. Both have been equally bad at keeping directions up to date, though, but I live in a re

Not showing the shortcut key for rename is definitely dumb. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of some silly reason like a high level designer at Apple thought it wouldn't match the cmd paradigm, and so would rather not

Generally speaking, macOS uses option or shift to modify existing commands. Hence cmd-c / cmd-(opt)-v. The paradigm is Copy -> Move or Duplicate. In Windows, it's Copy or Cut -> Paste. I don't mind this change from Win
