There are better open source libraries available, such as Shadcn, which offers real components and Figma design, among many others. https://ui.shadcn.com/

GitHub is a great example of how an OpenAI team can thrive under Microsoft. Github has drastically improved and has never been better.

Life is chaos. Things do not have to add up. People start seeing things only when things go wrong. I see nothing strange in those randomly selected points.

From what I heard non-compete clauses are unenforceable in California, so what exactly are they suing for? I'm pretty sure Satya consulted with an army of lawyers over the weekend regarding the potential issue.

We witnessed the insane value destruction over the weekend. Every OpenAI employee is aware that everything they have and what is promised to them is whipped out. Their best chance is that Sam brings them to that new company within MS. They

This was expected. Who would possibly think Sam would join MS to be a "senior research" or "VP of engineering"? They get to form a company and run a startup within Microsoft with full Microsoft backing. OpenAI is so over

This is not Ballmer era. It's Satya.

Satya will probably allow them to run a startup under the MS umbrella without interference and with full MS backing.

They will probably run a subsidiary under the MS umbrella and profit hugely in the next few years. Also, MS could easily dump OAI in the next few months to year.

And that could be a core problem. He wasn't really free to decide the speed of development. He wanted to change that and deliver faster. Obviously, they achieved something in the past weeks, so doomers pulled the plug to stop him.

I called this yesterday. I said the board would be forced out under the pressure, and Sam would be back. It was obvious. Even if it is a not-for-profit company, it bows under investor pressure.

Yes, they are that incompetent except one. D’Angelo has a history of such moves. He fired his cofounder when Quora was still doing good and growing, and Quora has been struggling ever since.

Non-compete contracts should be banned unless the employee is compensated for the non-compete period. Period.

We could be witnessing another Apple-Jobs moment. He could go and pursue other interests, but I have a feeling that he deeply cares about OpenAI. If that's the case, he will be back eventually, just as Jobs returned to Apple repeatedly

Yeah, I misspoke earlier. Although nobody has actual power on paper, public and investor pressure can be just as influential.

This is escalating rather quickly. It is an incredibly irresponsible move by the OpenAI board. Hypergrowing company, and now they managed to shake up their user's trust in leadership stability. This has Adam's (D'Angelo) fing

A bad term, I would say now, "most people." For me, hosting a password manager is like hosting an email server. There are situations where it makes sense. But for 99.99% of people, services are just good enough. Not to mention wha

Good for you. But the average user wants a password manager on all their devices, including web and mobile browsers. They don't want keepassx and to keep track of a single file. There's nothing to gain, except a false sense of sec

Not targeted, but a random attack and data leak is very likely. Much more likely than if they used the service. That's why 99.999% of people should stick with the services.

You may feel safer that way, but it is not. If a dedicated attacker can breach Okta, they can surely breach your self-hosted, self-synced password manager you manage, which you forgot to update on time, or you don't get an update on ti

Fusion doesn't have those problems. With fusion, you generate electricity 24h/day. Storage is needed for solar and wind for obvious reasons.
