Packt Publishing Quietly Increases Monthly Subscr. Fees Without Prior Notice

A few years ago, I subscribed to Packt's service, which advertised a "lock price for life" deal. As someone who is easily drawn in by such offers, I decided to subscribe. While I don't use the service frequently, I still find their occasional high-quality books worth keeping the subscription for. I initially subscribed at a rate of €7.87, and I never bothered to check my invoices, as they were automatically sorted into my inbox, and I just marked them as read. However, the other day, I checked my email and discovered they had started charging me €9.59 instead. Upon reviewing my previous invoices, I realized they had been doing so since January 2023. The difference of €1.72 may not seem like much, but I find this kind of behavior unacceptable. They definitely make it easier to decide to cancel. Did anyone else notice the subscription price increase?
